Israel: Benyamin Netanyahu to form a government

The leader of the Likud party, Benyamin NETANYAHU, is now in a position to form a new government after the general elections. Benyamin NETANYAHU asked the outgoing Foreign Minister, Tzipi LIVNI, a centrist who was also aiming for the post of Prime Minister to join the coalition government he wants to set up. The latter refused and preferred to remain in the opposition. Benyamin NETANYAHU places Iran at the top of his list of priorities and has always been against the formation of a Palestinian state. However, faced with the new US administration of Barack Obama, he will have to moderate his positions.
