Olympic Bravery Oil Burning

Olympic Bravery Oil Burning

The Olympic Bravery is a Liberian oil tanker (with flag of convenience), whose sinking occurred on January 24, 1976, on the reefs of Yuzin Bay, on the north coast of Ouessant Island, In the Finistère in Brittany, the 800 tons of fuel oil needed for its propulsion were enough to fuel several kilometers of coast. Images of the site where the Olympic Bravery ran aground, which became a place to walk, especially since the north coast of Ouessant, in the vicinity of Kelern Island, has lost nothing of its beauty. Currently it is the end of the great cleaning, since the end of June the 300 tons contained in the tanks of the oil tanker and two burners work 8 hours a day (at the rate of 6 bags every 20 minutes). There are still 210 tonnes to burn, cost of the operation: 900,000F
