The oil spill in Britain: visit by the Minister of the Interior
The sinking of the tanker "The Torrey Canyon", which carried 120,000 tonnes of crude oil, occurred on March 18, 1967. Report on the arrival of interior minister Christian Fouchet and regional reeve Alexandre Stirn who are taking part in a first working session. Chistian Fouchet went to various polluted sites, including Port Blanc, and noted the extent of the damage and the means used. Images of water lances spreading a dispersant product, also toxic.
