Roubaix, a light: Desplechin’s encounter with poverty

Arnaud DESPLECHIN and actor Roschdy ZEM are the guests on the set of the newspaper for the release of Arnaud DESPLECHIN’s new film, "Roubaix, une lumière" in which Roschdy ZEM plays a very human and empathetic policeman. It is inspired by a diverse fact induced by the great social misery evoked in the documentary "Roubaix, Commissariat central" directed by Mosco Boucault. After a microsidewalk with spectators after having seen the film, the director explains, how he wanted through this film, to meet his city and its most deprived inhabitants who meet in a police station, he who had a very protected childhood and always wrote films with characters "more bourgeois".
