Arnaud Desplechin on "La sentinelle" and the different shots of his film
On the occasion of the Cannes International Film Festival, interview with young director Arnaud DESPLECHIN in a hotel. He talks about his film "The Sentinel", explains his choices for the plot of this film by comparing several shots: the relationship between a boy -student in forensic medicine- and his girlfriend, the relationship of a boy and his country, the relationship of a boy with his work and death, by wanting to show that medically, we must respect the human body all the time, the reason for his choice of a character practising forensic medicine. Finally, he admits to being lucky.
