Arnaud Desplechin for his direction of "Father" by August Strindberg

Patricia LOISON receives the director Arnaud DESPLECHIN who starts at the Comédie Française, in the function of director of theatre with the play of "The Father" of the Swedish author August STRINDBERG with the actors Anne KESSLER and Michel VUILLEMOZ, members of the Comédie Française recounting the story of a relentless duel between a man and a woman, within a couple, for the education of their daughter. He returns on this occasion to the distinction between cinema which he considers as a "fairground art" and theatre which he considers as a "noble art" and evokes his pleasure and enthusiasm after this experience of staging.
