Speech by R. Badinter on the abolition of the death penalty: Ranucci, Carrein, Djandoubi

Robert BADINTER evokes the three condemned to death of the seven-year-old Valéry Giscard d'Estaing: Christian Ranucci, whose guilt is doubted, Jérôme Carrein, mentally retarded, Hamida Djandoubi, one-legged unbalanced. According to Badinter, the safety of the French would not have been threatened if these men had simply remained in prison.
