Robert Badinter on the outcome of the trial of P. Henry

Interview with Master Robert BADINTER, lawyer of Patrick Henry, after the sentence of the latter to life imprisonment and while he risked the death penalty after the assassination of little Philippe Bertrand. According to Robert BADINTER: "This is a great moment in judicial history" but this decision does not in fact abolish the existence of the death penalty. According to him, while public opinion is still in favour of the death penalty, jurors are in a much more tenuous position. Life is the sacred value by definition".
