Shooting in Roubaix for his new film "Trois souvenirs de ma jeunesse", director Arnaud DESPLECHIN explains why he chose his hometown -because of its romantic power and its disused industrial past, for its border city side between France and Belgium- for this film evoking the youth of its character "Paul" played by Mathieu ALMARIC. [Source: France 3 Regions]: Cinema. Director Arnaud Desplechin returns to his hometown of Roubaix. He shoots a part of his new film there from Monday and for about 4 weeks.
