Security retention

The Retention of Security Act 2008 provides that convicted persons deemed to be the most dangerous are placed in a prison unit with medical and psychological follow-up at the end of their sentence. This law, passed by Rachida Dati, raises many controversies: depriving a person of liberty on a presumption of dangerousness, without having committed a crime, questions the rule of law.
