The presidents of the three Slavic republics signed yesterday in Minsk an agreement creating a "community of sovereign states" to which other republics of the former union may freely adhere, and decided to coordinate their economic and political policies. After 24 hours of silence, the Soviet president must react tonight to the coup of forces of the presidents of the Slavic republics.
