At the National Assembly, opening the debate on Martine AUBRY’s bill to reform the VEIL law on voluntary termination of pregnancy. The project includes extending the statutory period for IVG from 10 to 12 weeks of pregnancy, and relaxing the conditions for access to IVG for minors. Twenty-five years after the adoption of the VEIL law, the reception facilities for women in need of Ivgs are not always adapted, for lack of means and staff. Today it can take several weeks to get an appointment in a public hospital. Reporting in PARIS, where two-thirds of Ivgs are carried out by the private sector.
