Grand Headquarters Atlantic Grand Headquarters Opening

Report on the official inauguration of SHAPE, the Grand Headquarters of the Allied Powers in Europe, on a location in Louveciennes, next to Rocquencourt. The SHAPE, which President Vincent Auriol, accompanied by Minister of Defence Jules Moch, hands over the keys to General Eisenhower, was the headquarters of NATO headquarters until 1967. After France withdrew from NATO’s military command, SHAPE was transferred to Belgium.
