The MEDEF wants to reform unemployment insurance with the Return to Work Assistance Plan

The Return to Work Assistance Plan, defended by the MEDEF, will concern only the newly registered unemployed in 2OO1. This device "inspired by what works best abroad" will offer them a skills assessment, then job offers or training. Unemployment benefit will now be at full rate, and the principle of sanctions for refusal of a job is confirmed. Statement by Denis KESSLER, Vice-President of MEDEF, who announces the main lines of this reform.
