A year ago, on November 14, 2015, a test train of the TGV Est derailed and made 11 dead and 42 injured. Today, a judicial progress report confirms human error, and goes further. Miscalculation and human error were the cause of the accident. The braking distance and speed had been misjudged. Three people were indicted. SNCF acknowledges its responsibility in the accident.
