Dominique Potier on his amendment on clothing labelling
An amendment was voted on Tuesday by deputies in the National Assembly as part of the anti-waste bill for an "environmental and social" label on clothing providing for the display of the mode of production of clothing for clothing manufacturers. On stage, the socialist deputy Dominique Potier, deputy for Meurthe and Moselle explains why he proposed this amendment and recalls that the textile is the most polluting activity, and that "It is also a social issue because there is forced labour and child labour, slavery" in the production of clothing.
