Entre Nous: Clothing collection kiosks organized by Chambéry Métropole

Report on the initiative of Chambéry Métropole to fight against waste: the installation of textile collection terminals, managed by Emmaus. Chambéry Métropole wishes to reduce its waste by 7% by the end of 2015. Currently 615 tons of textiles are collected each year. With these new terminals, the agglomeration community Chambéry Métropole hopes to divert household waste 5 kg of textiles per year and per capita, or nearly 640 additional tons. The collection and processing of textiles has been entrusted to Emmaus Vêtements. Recognized in the fields of valorization and recovery, the Brotherhood of Emmaus is also a company of insertion and the development of this new market rhymes with job creation.
