On the occasion of the Rencontres d'Arles, where there are exhibitions of renowned photographers and round tables between professionals in the courtyard of the Pablo Neruda mansion. The writer Michel TOURNIER, one of the founders of the festival with Jean Maurice ROUQUETTE and the photographer Lucien CLERGUE evokes the issue of document photography through the work of the photojournalist William Eugène SMITH, who photographed the Pacific War and is currently in residence in Arles.
