There is a festive atmosphere in Beaujeu as every year for the unblocking of Beaujolais nouveau. At the sound of a marching band, participants taste wine, are inducted. One can even gain weight in Beaujolais. In the streets, people have fun, dance, parade behind the Sarmentelles and watch the fireworks.
