Opened in 1932, the Prisunic de la Guillotière store, Lyon’s first large store, will close due to a free-fall turnover, much to the chagrin of the inhabitants of the neighborhood. Testimony of several customers: "At the beginning, all the items were at 10 francs, the most expensive in any case...", "I bought my first pots here when I moved to Lyon", "Where will I go to do my commissions?" "Now, we don’t know what to demolish, unfortunately, we could have transformed the store".
