Launch of the Year of France in China

On a visit to Beijing, Jacques CHIRAC kicked off the Year of France in China with Foreign Minister Michel BARNIER and Chinese President HU JINTAO. He was accompanied by French business leaders. Throughout the year, Chinese will be able to discover French culture through various cultural events: the flags of Buren at the Temple of the Sun and the exhibition Impressionist paintings at the Palais des Beaux-Arts and the concert of Jean-Michel JARRE in the Forbidden City.
