Georges LAUTNER considers himself lucky to have been able to collaborate since his beginnings with two great screenwriters Michel Audiard and Pierre Laroche. With his assistants Bertrand Blier and Claude Vital, they loved to listen to the texts of Pierre Laroche. Coming from a film technician training, his encounters with masters of caustics and derision have had a lasting influence on his cinema. Cinephile and lover of American comedies, he opted for a "talkative cinema". He also cites as influence "The white sheik" of Fellini, jewel of derision and humor in his eyes.
