Renaud: from poetry to song

Bernard PIVOT invited the singer RENAUD to talk about his collection of texts "Mistral winner". He tells how writing poems "from a troubled teenager" led him to compose his first song in May 1968. He confides that at the time, he read little poetry but adored Prévert and Vian. He cites Brassens, Bruand, Bobby Lapointe, Montéhus and François Béranger as the "masters who influenced and inspired him".
