Jean Marie LE PEN, declared presidential candidate, answers the question of the attitude to have towards abortion: "I am a Christian, so I am by principle against abortion. I am the spiritual son of Roman civilization who had discovered, before Jesus came to earth, the principle "Infans conceptus pro nato habetur", which he translates as: "the conceived child is reputed to be born whenever it is in his interest". He then proposed the creation of a Ministry of Children’s Rights. He condemns abortion morally, but believes that we must study the issue in terms of legislation, so that women who renounce abortion can raise their children or have them adopted...
