Georges Perec: the house of his childhood in Belleville

In front of his mother’s shop on Rue Vilin, Georges PEREC interviewed by Viviane FORRESTER talks about the importance of having found the places of his childhood in Belleville, a space "now inhabited in his memory". The picture of this small hairdressing shop is on the cover of the book about his childhood "W or childhood memory". His autobiographical attempt was informed at first. Then it became clearer with time and he gave himself the opportunity to say I, to make it his own space, his own place.
