Noël Favrelière on the extrajudicial executions during the Algerian War
Noël FAVRELIÈRE called from the contingent in Algeria in 1956, deserter left with his prisoner and amnesty in 1966, evokes the horrors of this war and in particular the drudgery, a summation execution of prisoners without trial. He explains why he deserted with his young prisoner: "I did not want this young guy, wounded, to be simply murdered". His words are interspersed with archive images of the French News of 12/08/1959 on the operation "Binoculars" in Kabylia.
