On the plateau of Arlette CHABOT and Alain DUHAMEL, Noël FAVRELIERE, former called in Algeria in 1956, deserter and amnesty in 1966, remembers the abuses committed against the prisoners and in particular the civilian suspects who were "squatting in the dust without eating or drinking" and then being interrogated in a tent around which the called had no right to approach. "You could hear the screams, you could see the blows sometimes, passing by".
