Marie-France Garaud : "Les hommes politiques français sont comme des vieux acteurs qui jouent toujours les mêmes rôles"
Just before announcing her candidacy in the 1981 presidential election, Marie-France GARAUD answers Julien BESANCON’s question: "For whom do you drive?" She says: "I don’t drive for someone, first I’m not a truck. I don’t drive for anyone, I defend ideas." The tone is set. She goes on to say: "I think that French politicians are a bit like old actors who always play the same roles... They have a mask on their face; they all have the same mask.... They all say the same thing...we would switch political speeches during the next election campaign, no one would notice and not even them!". She’s here to tell the French the truth.
