Football: French coaches decorated by the British Crown

Arsène Wenger and Gérard Houllier, the French coaches of Arsenal and Liverpool were promoted officers of the Order of the British Empire. The award was presented by Jack Strauw, British Foreign Minister. Gérard Houllier says: "It is a feeling of happiness and pride ... And I have always said that the two catalytic effects of foreigners in England, and especially the French, were Eric Cantona as a player and Arsène Wenger".
