The debate in the National Assembly on the socialist proposal to create a civil pact of solidarity (PACS) has come to a close. The objection of inadmissibility was adopted by the right-wing members, more numerous than those of the majority. The weak mobilization of left-wing MPs, especially socialists, is a denial of the government. - Yves COCHET, President, announces the opening of the election on the objection of inadmissibility: "The bill is rejected". - Reaction from MEPs Patrick DEVEDJIAN, RPR MP, Philippe de VILLIERS, Jean-Pierre MATTEI, all satisfied with the failure of the left. Robert HUE, National Secretary PCF., Jean-Marc AYRAULT, President of the PS group and Noël MAMERE, RCV group (The Greens) are disappointed but remain determined.
