The President of the United States, Barack Obama, has arrived in France to attend the D Day celebrations. He was welcomed in Colleville sur Mer by the President of the French Republic Nicolas Sarkozy. During his speech, Nicolas SARKOZY said to the attention of the President of the United States "...for all the French, you are therefore twice Mr President, by the function that is yours and by the blood that flows in your veins, the symbol of the America that we love". Then in his speech, Barack Obama declared: "If the allies had lost, the occupation of this continent by Hitler would have lasted indefinitely...".
