Recovery of old paper and plastic bottles in La Rochelle
In La Rochelle, Mayor Michel CREPEAU implemented a policy of waste recovery and recycling. The municipality organised the collection and sorting, for paper and cardboard on the one hand, and for plastic packaging and bottles on the other. Transported by dump trucks, these mountains of waste are then stored in landfills, waiting for recycling. Interview M. DUBOSC, city councillor: "The people of Rochelle and their citizenship have responded massively to our call for the recovery of old paper from rags and plastic bottles on Thursday morning. The non-extractable materials will be collected (...). Two inhabitants are in favour of the project.
