National 35 Hour Review

National 35 Hour Review

Review of the reform of the 35 hours, of its application today at its cost to the State or to the comparison with other European countries: if the law is the same for all in theory with a weekly week of 35 hours of work, In practice there are many employees working more. They then receive paid overtime or compensatory rest. The cost to the state is no longer quantifiable even though in 2009 the government had granted nearly €22 billion in burden relief to businesses. As regards the productivity of French workers, they are in the European average. The commentary on illustration images, infographic images, archival images and factual images alternates with the interview of Christine EHREL, Economist at the Centre for Employment Studies.
