Katia Krafft about explosive volcanism

Katia KRAFFT talks about the risks of her job as a volcanologist and about the secrets of eruptions she hopes to discover as she approaches volcanoes. She says: 'I don’t like danger, but by being in somewhat impressive situations one always wants to have more, and especially to go closer to be able to observe (...). For all that is explosive, the Pelee Mountain, Mount St Helens, the Indonesian volcanoes, there are still many things that we did not understand in the course of the eruption."
