While travelling on the 14th stage of the Tour de France in Bagnères-de-Bigorre, President of the Republic Emmanuel MACRON took a crowd bath. In particular, he referred to the violence suffered by police officers during demonstrations on public roads: "Our policemen, our gendarmes, our internal security forces have been put in a situation of extreme violence (...) we saw on July 14 also wounded in the police and gendarmerie forces, who took a pavement..., this is absolutely abnormal".

The police officer’s only obligation is to inform you that you are being filmed. The device is not systematic, it can only be used on public roads and it is up to the officer to decide whether or not to film the intervention. The experiment is national, it has just begun and should last 6 months. The cameras are deployed in cities with priority security zones. This is the case in Mulhouse. Often criticized for its tough interventions, the police want to play transparency. If the experiment is validated, the device could be generalized.
