Young people at Hermès

A class from a college in Montfermeil, a difficult suburb, begins a one-week internship in the luxury industries, including Hermès. In the workshops of Hermès in Pantin where they learn the manual sewing of leather, the middle schoolers Hava, Mohammed and Martial express their impressions: "It is expensive but it is also beautiful" says Hava about a Hermes handbag. Martial finds that "it’s too hard". The goal of a company like Hermès is to promote manual work among young people. Interview with Jean Louis DUMAS, CEO of Hermès: "For us, it is a great enrichment to see these young people cling to the notion of tool, the notion of doing well, detail, care".
