As part of the fight against AIDS in France, the city of Compiègne is now installing waste syringe pickers, on the same day that they are offered for sale in the pharmacies of Stéribox, boxes containing the sterile material needed by drug addicts. The device that retrieves used syringes delivers a token in exchange that can be exchanged for an AIDS protection kit, Stericbox. Explanation and assessment of this original initiative.
