On 18 April 1951, the Foreign Ministers of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG), Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Italy and the Netherlands signed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, quai d'Orsay in Paris, the Treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC).
