The 1924 Olympics in Colombes: memories of spectators
The oldest still remember the 1924 Olympic Games in Colombes. Four women in 1920s dresses give a glimpse of the splendour of the opening ceremony of the Games on July 5, 1924 at the city stadium. A spectator who was nine years old at the time remembers coming as a family to listen to her father play "L'Arlésienne" in front of 4,000 athletes. Another remembers attending the opening when she was four years old. Report illustrated by photos and posters of the Games.
