The Federation of Student Parents' Councils calls for a homework strike at home
The Fédération des conseils de parents d'élèves (FCPE) has issued a call for no duties to be given to students for 15 days, starting today, duties that are normally prohibited in primary school by a 1956 circular. A survey conducted for the FCPE shows that 59% of parents of students want the elimination of homework, which is a source of inequality. In the Bouches du Rhône, where 30% of families are single parents, the problem of homework is even more important. A micro-sidewalk in front of a school in Marseille alternates with images of the students' exit, with interviews with Jeanine TURCAN, president of FCPE 13 and Christophe DORE, SNUIPP FSU union, as well as with images of a classroom, where students raise their finger, and a little girl doing her homework (blurred face).
