A faulty collective boiler nearly caused a tragedy in a building of large Sarcelles Lochères complexes: carbon monoxide has spread into the stairwell. The inhabitants were alerted by the death of two serins and the discomfort of several children. The owner of the birds tried to revive the serine in vain with mulled wine! A mother recounts her panic when she saw the children "fall like flies".
