Rencontre avec l'architecte Le Corbusier dans le château de Luynes, en Indre et Loire, où il prépare les panneaux d'émail qui vont recouvrir les portes du parlement de la ville indienne de Chandigarh dont il est l'architecte. Il explique avoir avoir eu carte blanche grâce à la confiance de Nehru. Puis il parle du béton brut : "un matériau admirable". "On accepte bien des hommes et des femmes nus, pourquoi pas le béton" souligne-t-il. Puis il explique comment il a eu l'idée d'y introduire un complément inattendu : l'émail.
