Mountain cycling stage: the technical deployment of television

Georges de CAUNES details the technical installations set up by the television to film and broadcast live the images of the cyclists during the passage of the Iseran pass during the 18th stage of the Tour de France. It was necessary to raise to 2770 meters of altitude a control car, 40 technicians, 4 cameras and a temporary relay built especially on a summit with the help of a helicopter. A cabin was also built to protect technicians and equipment from the rain. .
