Manuel VALLS reacted to the resignation of Thomas Thevenoud, Secretary of State for Foreign Trade: "There is a form of mud that is winning us. Like our fellow citizens, we all experience a form of disgust. Public action, action in the service of the community, imposes an ethic of behaviour and a force of character, whether one is a minister, whether one is a parliamentarian, whether one is elected locally and when one is not at the level of this exemplary, when one is not at the level of this ethic, we must be rejected, because the French, they are right, are demanding. They demand morality, ethics and behaviour".
