The European Court of Human Rights has condemned France for its refusal to recognize the parentage of children born to surrogates in the United States. At the origin of this legal fight, the spouses Mennesson, parents of two teenagers born through the GPA. The girls were never recognized by the French Civil State. 2000 children are affected by this refusal of recognition. During the Gay Pride the demonstrators expressed their dissatisfaction: the PMA is not allowed for homosexuals.
