Report. Today was held the Congress of the Communist Party. Pierre LAURENT was elected at the head of the PCF and succeeds Marie-George BUFFET. In his speech, he said he wanted a rally of the Left for the 2012 elections, in order to counter Nicolas Sarkozy. The commentary on images of the congress alternates with an extract of the speech of Pierre LAURENT, and with the interviews of André CHASSAIGNE, PC deputy of Puy-de-Dôme and a communist activist. Finally, journalist Béatrice GELOT says that Pierre Laurent will have to reinvigorate a party in full decline and win over Jean-Luc Mélenchon in the Left Front.
