The Tiberi spouses before the courts for electoral fraud

The Tiberius spouses and nine of their relatives, including the first deputy Anne Marie Affret, appear before the courts in a case involving false voters. After almost twelve years of proceedings, the former mayor UMP of the 5th arrondissement of Paris will answer in electoral fraud corrections in 1995 and 1997, which he has always denied despite the evidence provided by Lyne Cohen Solal, his socialist opponent of the 5th arrondissement. "For the moment these are accusations, there is no evidence, I do not want to enter into discussions..." says he on the market or he has his habits of elected and resident. There would have been nearly 4,000 phantom voters, in favour of Tiberius, registered in his borough. Anne Marie Affret doesn’t deny it. Her lawyer Jean CHEVAIS specifies "that she wanted to do her team a favor to win it, to do a favor to the voters who come to beg her to be registered on the 5th arrondissement they like or know..." Lyne COHEN SOLAL, Socialist Councillor 5th district of Paris, maintains that these practices were known to all:"...the janitors came to explain to me that they were receiving letters from the Paris City Council to names they did not know, even though they had been in place for 40 years......."
