Venezuelan President Hugo CHAVEZ was received at the Elysée Palace by President Nicolas SARKOZY, before meeting with the family of Ingrid BETANCOURT, hostage of FARC in Colombia for 5 years. He did not bring the proof of life requested by the family, but said he hoped for a signal from the kidnappers before the end of the year.
