Suspect identified for Copernicus Street attack

Twenty-seven years after the attack on the synagogue on Copernicus Street on October 3, 1980, which had killed four people and wounded some 40 others in Paris, the French justice system is on the trail of a Lebanese-Canadian suspect of Palestinian origin living in Canada. The suspect’s name appeared in the investigation conducted by antiterrosity judge Jean-Louis Bruguière in charge of the case at the time and who prefers to remain cautious about the progress of the investigation. Meeting with Lucien Finel, former president of the Liberal Union of Israelites, surprised that the file has not been closed since time.
