Our Time: Privatization Of Vvf

Our Time: Privatization Of Vvf

The Family Holiday Villages (VVF), created in 1958 to allow the most deprived to go on holiday, will be privatized. Faced with the problems of competition, a drop in occupancy and an aging housing stock, the State withdrew from VVF, to the benefit of a private shareholder. However, 69 holiday sites will not be privatized, the municipalities to which they belong wish to keep them. They will be managed by an association, in partnership with works councils and family benefit funds. Reminder of the history of the VVF on archival images of the 60s, images of the VVF of Carcans and Soulac, alternating with the interview of Maurice ALFONSI, commercial and marketing director VVF, about the renovation plan, and two holidaymakers worried about rising prices that could go hand in hand with privatization.
